Gopher State Fence Custom Wood Fence Designs

When one thinks of a fence, the traditional "white washed" wood fence comes into one's mind. Traditional wood fencing is still one of the most popular fencing materials on the market because of it's classic look and rustic beauty that is unmatched by today's synthetic materials!

Our western red cedar or rot resistant penta treated pine wood fencing materials make an excellent choice for your fencing needs. It costs less than other fencing materials such as chain link or wrought iron; yet will give you years of lasting beauty. Wood fencing can be used to enhance the look of landscaped areas around shrubs and rock gardens. Wood fencing is able to be blended with the look and feel of existing home or yard and is able to follow the contour of your landscape more easily than metal fencing materials. Installation of wood fencing is quick and easy depending upon the complexity of the design.

Wood fencing comes in many styles and heights, but we can create a custom design to fit your needs! The design options are limitless! We offer many styles of lattice work built right on site and take the time to personalize each and every job to our customer's satisfaction. Some of the more popular styles included:

Board on Board Fence
Board on board fence usually is available in 4 or 6 foot heights, but can also be installed at other desired heights. Board on board is one if the most sought after designs, with boards securely fasted between two top rails. Boards can be spaced to your liking to allow some light to pass through. Board on board can also be accented by a lattice top or other custom design built on site!

Close Board Fence
Closed board fencing uses 4x4 posts that are secured two feet below ground in cement footings. Vertical fence boards are then overlapped on each other providing the most privacy.

Board and Estate Fence
Board and Estate fencing is popular on farms and country homes. This style of fence usually consists of 3 or 4 boards spaced evenly to span between the two anchoring posts. They can also be aligned at angles to enhance the look.

Wood Dip Fence
Much like the "Board on Board" fence described above, but with a concave dip between the two main anchoring posts of each fence section.

Picket Fence
The picket fence is a timeless classic style that provides some privacy and security, but is one of the most attractive wood fencing designs used to enhance the look of your home or garden.

Split Rail Fence
Split rail fencing is a timeless rustic look, of hand hewn logs and spanning posts. It is primarily used to long fencing runs to enclose pastures and fields. Installation is quick and efficient. Split rail fencing gives the look of a "ranch style" architecture, a home in the mountains or a Southwestern style landscape.

Custom styles also available that can be built on-site!
